If working hard and seeing the fruits of your labor bring you joy, our UTILITY position may be the job you've been searching for!  Our Utility Team Member is responsible for the loading of product into trucks, building and grounds care, and operation of other material handling equipment and assists to move our merchandise within the warehouse and on the truck; performs janitorial and maintenance duties for building and grounds; assists in the contracts department as needed, and accepts and moves donations between locations.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Assists truck driver with deliveries to stores and pick-ups from stores.
  2. Uses equipment and materials to clean floors, windows, bathrooms, work surfaces, and carpets as instructed.
  3. Performs job duties in a safe manner using protective equipment where needed.
  4. Empties trash containers and breaks down boxes.
  5. Assists donors with unloading donations.
  6. Moves donated items to proper locations.
  7. Operates baler, shredder, and trash compactor.
  8. Assists in maintaining grounds and buildings by changing light bulbs, picking up trash, lawn care, and snow/ice removal.
  9. Performs duties associated with ISO as stated in the ISO quality manuals and specific job ISO manuals as required.
  10. Initiates and completes documentation of quality and contract jobs associated with ISO certification as required.
  11. Ensures that quality control and shipping deadlines are met.
  12. Performs assigned tasks in contracted piecework.

  11. Takes direction from truck driver when assisting truck driver.
  12. Takes direction from store personnel when bringing to the store or picking up items from the store.
  13. Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Facilities and Safety Manager.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.  Must be able to work weekends.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, climb ladder, and lift up to 40 pounds and move large boxes, furniture and other heavy items.
